Hurricanes get visit from Heat

The Miami Hurricanes basketball team had a big surprise in store for them when some of the Miami Heat players showed up at workouts.

LeBron James was one of the players to grace the Hurricanes with his presence and said he had a great workout.

James and other Heat players hung around after the pick-up games to pose for pictures with the Hurricanes.

Head coach Frank Hait said it was great having the Heat show up and give advice to his players.

James wasn’t shy about dunking the ball, but this time there was no video taping to cause any controversy.

Harris claims thumb is fine

Miami Hurricanes starting quarterback Jacory Harris claims that his injured right thumb is just fine.

Harris had problems with the thumb on his throwing hand for much of last season and it resulted in some bad throws.

The injury was supposedly much worse than Harris or the Hurricanes told the media at the time.

He eventually needed surgery to repair torn ligaments and said he is still in the recovery phase.

However, Harris assured everyone that he will be ready to go for the season opener against Florida A&M.

The Miami Hurricanes are ready to assert themselves once again as one of the country’s dominant football programs.

It’s been a slow ride back to relevance for the Hurricanes, who have struggled to have an impact in the ACC. The team’s facilities continue to be a stumbling block, as is their home stadium, which is now also the home of the Miami Dolphins.

Miami finally have a quality quarterback who can make big plays down the field in the big games. They also have a head coach who is improving the Hurricanes’ recruiting efforts throughout the state of Florida.
